Health Care Advancements in Gulf Countries

Reports stated that the ruler had suffered from pneumonia and had to use breathing tubes for a short time. Authorities also announced that he would take a week’s leave in addition to his medical course at King Abdulaziz Medical Campus in Riyadh under the supervision of local doctors.

Golf executives are expected to prefer foreign treatment over their own. Some examples include King Abdullah and the Sultan of Oman, Kabus, who prefer Morocco and Germany respectively.

But this current ruling by the leader has prompted a warning of favouritism to take into account the kingdom’s health sector.

The MERS failure case

The country recently acquired a negative outlook on the ground following an outbreak of Epidemic Respiratory Syndrome in the Middle East (MERS) found in 11 MERS, including two health workers in these cases. As a result, King Fahd’s hospital was closed for a week.

The action did not end there, but also ended with the dismissal and replacement of the entire department without corrupt personnel. The health minister was also expelled from the school, and Saudi and Swedish researchers requested a replacement. This is about researching and examining health systems that will be implemented into the health system in a short period of time.

Health sector budgets, figures and planning:

This movement to promote health services in the country is not a rumor or a myth. But this was taken seriously by the government, which encouraged sources to move the health sector forward rather than to budget losses due to the fall in oil prices in 2011. The 2015 budget plan is expected to have a plan to move forward. $860 billion ($229.3 billion) for education and health as a strong bar in the same direction. Thus, the government is really focused on improving and increasing medical needs, which clearly shows the figures. These investments also account for about 44% of the total budget for the year. Similarly, health and social issues account for an 18.6% share of the 2015 budget plan, and all other government plans would increase by 48% each year to 160 billion SR ($42.7 billion).

All of this is striking because the announcements of 27 new hospitals and health centres, in addition to the 117 expanding hospital buildings, are no longer in line to create about eight medical towns. Last year, 4,500 beds were expanded in the construction of hospitals, and more than 24,000 beds are expected to be completed by the end of all major health centres and hospital projects in the capital.
